  • In addition to motor or movement symptoms, Parkinson’s Disease also has non-motor symptoms, which can be less obvious and harder to detect.
  • Often unaffected by medications to treat motor symptoms
  • May precede motor symptoms by many years
  • Can be frustrating symptoms that lead to stress for the patient and caregiver

Non-Motor symptoms:

Anxiety Drenching sweats Tingling, burning, or itching
Depression Difficulty breathing Inability to remain still
Fatigue Drop in blood pressure with position change Reduced sense of smell
Slow thinking Constipation  
Interrupted sleep Oily or flaky skin  
Hallucinations
