Why Your Donation Matters

Because we practice a different kind of care.

Memory & Movement Charlotte was established as a nonprofit organization because we knew our approach to care would require ongoing philanthropic support.

A typical medical practice spends 15- 20 minutes with each patient. We believe more time is needed to effectively treat patients and families living with memory and movement disorders. Our providers see an average of six patients per day with appointments lasting 60-120 minutes.

Caregiver education and support is essential. Each appointment includes time with the patient, time with the caregivers, and time together with various members of the MMC care team.

Insurance reimburses only a fraction of this time. Annual fees, grants, and private donations close the gap and allow us to provide each family the time and attention they need.

We’d like to extend a special thank you to the many donors who have committed to monthly gifts, made gifts in honor or in memory of a loved one, requested matching gifts from employers, and to those who have included Memory & Movement Charlotte in their estate plans.

We are forever grateful to each of you.
