Why Your Donation Matters

Because we practice a different kind of care.

A typical medical practice spends approximately 15-20 minutes with each patient. We believe more time is needed to effectively treat patients and families dealing with memory and movement disorders.

At MMC, our providers see an average of six patients per day with appointments lasting 60-120 minutes.

Caregiver education and support is an essential part of treatment. Often a visit to our practice is the only time family members "check in" on their own physical and mental health. Each appointment includes time with the patient, time with the caregivers, and time together with various members of the MMC care team.

Unfortunately, Insurance reimburses only a fraction of the time spent by our providers with patients and families. It covers almost none of the time spent on education and caregiver support.

Annual fees, grants, and private donations close the gap and allow us to provide each family the time and attention they need.

Thank you for your generosity.
