In spring 2025, motivated by a growing waiting list, Memory & Movement Charlotte launched the Opening Doors expansion campaign. The $3 million, multi-year initiative includes the purchase and renovation of additional clinical space and the addition of two physician-led clinical teams.

A little over a year later, doors are opening! We have finalized an agreement to purchase the suite directly adjacent to our current clinic.

This is the site we hoped to secure from the start, as onsite expansion is the most cost-effective and efficient way to grow. Maintaining a single primary location allows our clinical teams to collaborate more easily and preserves our ability to provide care in retirement communities throughout the region.

Even before renovations begin, growth is underway. In late summer, we will add the first of two new physician teams. Neurologist Ajay Sethi, Physician Assistant Lawson Gatlin, and two new registered nurses will care for both memory and movement patients. Learn more about Dr. Sethi here.

Expansion is a multi-year journey, and while the steps we've taken are exciting, the work - and the campaign to support it - continues. To date, we have raised $2 million of our $3 million goal. The ongoing Opening Doors campaign will help support renovation and buildout costs, equip the expanded space, and provide recruitment and startup support for a second physician-led clinical team.
