MMC Office Reopening Safety Measures

We’re currently opening our office during certain hours for procedural appointments only.

During this public health crisis your health is our priority more than ever. To maximize your safety and the safety of our staff, MMC moved all of our operations to virtual platforms in mid-March. For those of you who had a virtual visit with us over the past two months, great job. We’re so happy we could serve you virtually.

As North Carolina begins Phase 1 reopening procedures, MMC has also created a phased reopening strategy.  This week we will begin seeing procedural patients only in the office. We are optimistic we can begin offering face-to-face visits for most patients  beginning June 1. If you are scheduled to see one of our providers during the coming weeks, you will be hearing from us in advance of your appointment to determine the best option for you or your loved one.

Read our updated patient procedures below.

At this time only patients will be allowed to come into the office. If you need assistance within the appointment, you may bring one additional person with you.

Before your scheduled office visit we will screen you and the person accompanying you to the office for COVID-19 by phone.

Anyone who will enter the office must bring a face mask or cloth face cover to the office visit.

Bring your cell phone to the appointment. When you arrive at the office remain outside: our staff will call you when they are ready for you to come inside.

In compliance with increased screening precautions, we will take your temperature at the top of the appointment.

Please do not come to your visit if you have developed: cough, shortness of breath, difficulty breathing, fever, chills, muscle pain, headache, sore throat, new loss of taste or smell.

New measures for our staff:

  • All staff will be required to wear a mask continuously while working in the office.
  • Staff will wash hands often, including before and after each patient encounter and will wear gloves during each encounter.
  • All surfaces will be sanitized often throughout the day with proper disinfecting products.
  • Employee’s temperature will be taken daily when they arrive to work. If employee is running a fever, they will be sent home.
